The KIND Challenge · Waitlist Open

You Know Exactly What You Should Have Said.
Just Not Until 2am.

The KIND Challenge is a 6-week program for the person who is thoughtful, caring, and completely stuck — because no one ever taught them that you can be honest and kind at the same time.

Free to join. First notice when doors open, and the KIND Soul Snapshot in your inbox right away. No pressure, no hard sell.

Is this you?

You go silent when something needs to be said — and resent it later

You freeze in hard conversations, and the words you needed show up hours too late

You've been told you're “too nice,” or you've told yourself you “hate confrontation”

You leave conversations feeling drained and can't quite say why

You replay the same conversation at 2am, finally finding the perfect words — three hours too late to matter

If any of that sounds familiar — you’re not bad at communication. You were never taught this.

There’s a difference, and it changes everything about what’s actually fixable here.

Why I built this

At the height of my career, I lost 60 pounds in eight months. Not because I was trying to — because I had stopped listening to my body so completely that it started communicating the only way it had left: by breaking down.

My doctor told me that if I didn’t stop, I might not make it through the week.

My first thought wasn’t about my health. It wasn’t about my family.

It was about who would cover my leadership summit.

I couldn’t say I needed help. I couldn’t say I was drowning. Not because I didn’t feel it — because I didn’t know how.

I’d spent my career learning how to be strong. How to perform fine when I wasn’t. What I was never taught was how to say the true thing — the hard, honest thing — kindly, clearly, without making it a crisis or disappearing.

I built The KIND Challenge because I needed it ten years before it existed.

The framework

This Isn’t Communication Tips. It’s a Framework.

Most programs like this are built on personality and vibes. The KIND Challenge is built on original, research-grounded work — qualitative interviews with senior leaders across healthcare, finance, education, higher education, corporate, and law enforcement, and peer-reviewed organizational psychology and burnout science underneath every stage. Four stages, in sequence:

Know Your Pressure Points

Understand your own patterns before you try to change anything.

Week 1

Improve Communication

Learn to make people feel heard, then learn the exact formula for saying hard things — the SAYS Formula, built on Dr. Ebony's own research and lived experience.

Weeks 2–3

Normalize Honest Conversation

Make honesty a regular, unremarkable part of your closest relationships — not a crisis.

Week 4

Design for Sustainable Communication

Make it permanent. Not something you remember to do. Who you are.

Weeks 5–6

Each stage builds the one after it. You’ll live each pillar before it’s even named — and by the closing call, when you see the full framework laid out, you’ll realize you already did it.

“But what do I actually say?”

The SAYS Formula

That’s the question underneath every piece of advice you’ve ever been given about hard conversations. “Just be honest.” “Set boundaries.” Nobody tells you the actual words.

Inside the challenge, you’ll learn a specific, four-step method for saying anything hard so it lands as care instead of criticism.

See their good first

Begin with what's true and good about them. The relationship comes before the problem.

Address the behavior, not the person

Name what happened — the moment — never who they are.

Your care, out loud

Say why you're saying it. Never leave your care unspoken.

Strengthen together

Ask a real question. Stay in it. End more connected than you began.

It’s not a script that makes you sound mechanical. It’s the tool that frees up your actual voice — because when you’re not spending all your mental energy managing your fear, that energy goes somewhere else entirely: toward the person in front of you.

A promise, before anything else

We Are Not Going to Practice on the People You Love Before You’re Ready.

Every dare in this challenge is designed to build your skill before it asks you to use it. You will never be sent into a real conversation without the framework for that conversation already in your hands. No brave conversation happens before Week 4 — and even then, entirely on your own timeline.

That’s a promise.

The research behind this

This isn’t a framework built on vibes. It’s grounded in the same research foundation as Dr. Ebony’s enterprise leadership work.

Psychological safety is the single strongest predictor of team effectiveness, outperforming team composition and individual talent.

Edmondson, 1999 · Google Project Aristotle, 2015

85% of employees have withheld critical information from a manager out of fear of consequences.

Mazzei, Kim & Dell'Oro, 2012

Burnout is a systemic and cultural failure, not an individual one — and the same is true of communication breakdowns in personal relationships.

SHRM / Gallup, 2024

Dr. Ebony has worked directly with senior leaders across healthcare, finance, education, higher education, corporate, and law enforcement organizations — translating the same research-grounded model into the relationships that matter most in your actual life.

Common questions

Is this therapy?

No. It's a communication framework, grounded in real research, translated into your actual relationships. If something surfaces during the challenge that needs more support than six weeks can give, that will be named directly and you'll be pointed toward the right kind of help — that's built into the safety standards of the program itself.

What if I don't have time?

Videos are 3–5 minutes, three days a week. One real practice per week — a single anchor Dare every Monday, with the whole week to do it. Most participants spend 10–15 minutes on the days they show up.

What if the right moment for a hard conversation doesn't come up during the six weeks?

That's genuinely fine, and it's expected for some people. This challenge gives you the tool — it doesn't force the moment. No brave conversation is required before Week 4, and even then, only when you're ready.

Is this just free content I could find on Instagram?

Some of the framing, yes — Dr. Ebony teaches pieces of this for free. What you get here is the full method, sequenced correctly, with weekly accountability, live coaching, and a community actually practicing alongside you. Most people don't change lifelong communication patterns from a single Reel.

What if I can't make the live calls?

All three are recorded and available as replays inside the platform.

When do doors open?

Soon — the waitlist hears first, before anyone else. Joining the waitlist costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
